Julie Christie is an English actress who has appeared in over sixty films, including 'A Sense of History', 'Scandal', 'The Good Life', 'Gosford Park', and 'Shine'. She has won two Academy Awards and a BAFTA award. Her most notable awards have been for her roles in the films "Darling," "Zorba the Greek," and "The Last Emperor". She made her American debut in the screen adaptation of the stage play "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?" in 1966
In 1998 she was awarded a CBE by Queen Elizabeth II.
